Why do we listen to a person who says he doesn't care what his audience thinks? Does he know that this will make us listen more? Does he really care? I believe all he cares about, truly, are his ratings. He cares about the masses but not the individual. Unless this individual can contribute to his show. If someone does this he uses and abuses, then forgets about them. If someone complains about something he makes them wrong, and then changes the very thing they complained about, or at least takes it into consideration. He has to be on top, it makes him better than everyone else, and that's what the show is about for him; making himself feel better then anyone who comes on his show or calls up. Or him feeling equal to respectable people in society. Or making respectable people feel less then him.

Howard is creating a type of person that he wishes he didn't have to deal with in high school, and ultimately his whole life. The kind of person who laughs and teases others because they are different. It looks like he's accepting, but it's like: come over here so we can laugh at you. We'll pretend to be sincere to you, but really we're just laughing at you. And it's ironic how the people that work on his show think that he's not doing the same thing to them. They're all being made into asses. hahahaha ...heeee haaaw    It's the devel's trick

Howard justifies everything he does by saying it’s only a joke, and his show is not to be taken seriously. And he avoids taking responsibility by saying that the Howard on the radio is not the real him. But then he says he is doing a real show. When you watch a clown it’s very easy to see that he is joking, that he is not serious, and he is playing a character. It’s not so black and white with the Howard Stern Show. Howard talks about politics, farts, worldly events, sex, many controversial things, and many subjects that people take seriously. What is real is the impact that the show has on society. Howard covers up a lot of this by making it look like he has morals, values and standards -“he cares about what is good.” But it’s just a distraction. He’s just smart enough to know how to play his audience. Then when something bad happens to him we all feel sorry for him. He doesn’t deserve that kind of treatment because behind all that making fun of people, making people feel bad, putting people down, laughing at fat people, telling people they are ugly, "he’s really a good person". Then he questions why people are so insensitive around him. It’s the obvious impact of having a show like he does.

I love how Howard thinks he is better than all of the disgust he surrounds himself with, and acts like he is. Most evil, manipulating people have a strong pretense of looking like good citizens. It's like the rapist who won't speed. Hitler was no slob. He made fun of the people on the Real Doll documentary. He laughed at how they purchased, used, and had the dolls sit around in a bed room. He did all of these things. He bought a real doll - of which he couldn't wait to get, he used it, and it sat in the studio every day at KROQ.
